"Dear New Family: A Letter of Love from your New Puppy"

Dear [New Owners],

"Dear New Family: A Letter of Love from your New Puppy".

Woof woof! Hello there, I'm Happy, your new furry family member, and I'm absolutely overjoyed to be a part of your lives! I couldn't wait to sit down and write you this special letter to tell you more about myself and what I need from you as my loving family.

First and foremost, I want you to know that I already adore each and every one of you! The moment we met, I knew I wanted to spend forever with you. Your cuddles and belly rubs make me the happiest pup, and I promise to shower you with love and affection in return.

I'm a lively, energetic fur-ball, always brimming with curiosity and excitement. The world is a big, new place for me, and I'm eager to explore it all. I'm so grateful that you understand I'm a canine, not just a fur baby, and I'm looking forward to learning all the rules of our home and the world around me. You, my patient and understanding Alpha family, are essential in guiding me to be the best pup I can be. Your consistency and patience will be vital as I adapt to my new surroundings and grow into the perfect companion. Together, we'll create a bond that will last a lifetime and embark on a beautiful journey of companionship and joy!

I must admit, as much as I'm excited about everything, I'm also a little nervous and anxious. With so many new smells, people, cats, other dogs, and kids, it can be overwhelming. So, I'd really appreciate your help in making me feel safe. I need a place where I can just chill and relax without being fearful of everything around me.

Ensuring I have a safe and cosy space is of utmost importance. While I love a comfortable bed, there's something special about my very own crate. It's like my little zen den, a secure sanctuary where I can retreat whenever I need some alone time or when you have to step out briefly. My crate is my go-to spot to rest and find comfort, especially at bedtime.

Oh, and here's a little request from me - could you please place something you've been wearing, like a singlet or a piece of clothing, inside my crate? Having your scent nearby when I sleep makes me feel so much more at ease. It's like having a piece of you right there with me. Don't forget to ask my breeder for a blanket or towel which my puppy pack has been laying on too as this can come home with you and go into mu crate too. Thank you so much for that little touch; it means the world to me. Woof!

Another fantastic space that makes me feel secure is the playpen. It's wonderful because it gives me room to move around and play while keeping me safe from potential hazards in the house when you can't watch me closely. You can fill the playpen with toys, and I'll have a blast exploring and playing with them. You can even place my cosy crate inside the playpen for extra comfort.

My playpen is not only fun but also helps me understand that the other dog or animals - even cats - woof, in the house needs their own space and time too. It allows us to coexist peacefully, and I'm so grateful for my little haven where I can have fun and feel safe simultaneously. Thank you for creating such a delightful environment for me!

Now, here's a little secret I want to share with you - I absolutely love being close to you! Whether we're relaxing at home or going for walks, nothing makes me happier than lying down right beside your left foot. Being by your side fills me with love and security, and it strengthens our bond through socialisation. I am ok to be on a leash once I understand what its for.

When we go for walks, I'm more than happy to walk beside you on a leash. However, I'd appreciate it if you don't pull me along. When I get pulled along I may not understand and I might just sit down and not want to go. Instead, speaking to me gently will encourage me to come to you naturally and please be calm. This way, our walks will be enjoyable for both of us, and I'll be the most attentive and loving companion you could ever wish for!

I'm eager to explore the outdoors and meet new pups, but please remember that I'm still a puppy and need to learn how to interact politely. Socialising me with other dogs and people will help me become well-adjusted and friendly.

Speaking of learning, training will be a significant part of my journey to becoming a well-mannered and happy pup. Positive reinforcement, like treats, toys, and praise, will motivate me to learn new tricks and follow commands. I promise to do my best to make you proud! I want to go to Bonnies please for my puppy training because they teach me how to say hello, but not be jumped on.

Routine and consistency are my best friends, as it's what I'm used to in the wild. Having a regular schedule for meals, potty breaks, and playtime will help me understand what's expected of me and keep me in top shape.

Lastly, I want you to know that I'll be your loyal companion through thick and thin. I may not be perfect, but I promise to love you unconditionally and be by your side no matter what.

Thank you for giving me a forever home filled with love and care. I can't wait to make countless memories with you and share a lifetime of joy and laughter. I'm excited for all the adventures we'll have together! With all my puppy love,

Happy 🐾
